Infants 3 months – 18 months
Ratio: 1 to 3

Our infant room is designed to provide each child with a caring and stimulating environment. Each child will have a personalized schedule and feeding time. Our daily activities will ensure that each child is developing and having fun through our various activities.

The children will have the opportunity to be creative through arts and crafts, explore different textures during sensory play and develop fine motor skills using the various equipment and toys. While the children are engaged in these activities they will develop the skills to start speaking, listening, sitting and walking. This will prepare the children for the transition to the our toddler program.


TODDLERS 18 months – 2 ˝ years
Ratio: 1 to 5

At Kiddy Place Childcare, we offer a full day program for toddlers. Our program is designed to stimulate and give your child a chance to explore through age appropriate activities. We promote activities that will encourage the children to interact with their peers.
Our educators plan daily activities that include - creative, sensory, dramatic and cognitive play. We also program activities that will enhance toddler’s fine and gross motor skills.
The toddlers also have the opportunity to play, explore and discover the wonders of nature during our out door play time.


PRESCHOOL 2 ˝ years – 5 years
Ratio: 1 to 8

Our preschool program provides the children with tools and confidents they need when entering the school system. To prepare them for school, we focus on letter recognition, numbers, colours, shapes, vocabulary and social skills.
We provide them with the opportunities to be creative during our arts and craft program.
Part of our curriculum in our preschool program is teaching them about different cultures, people, places, events and the animal world.
Our preschool classrooms are equipped with computers; each child will have the chance to become familiar with the technology of today.
We will ensure that our preschoolers will have an enjoyable a fun filled day of learning.


TYPES OF PROGRAMS
Our centre offers full and part time care (minimum of 2 day per week program). We offer morning half day programs in our Toddler and Preschool Programs

Holiday and Break Programs for Children 4 - 5.8 years of age:
In addition to regular programming at Kiddy Place Childcare Centre, we offer special programs for holidays and school vacations. If your regular provider does not offer care during Christmas Break, March Break and Summer Break we offer care for those that require temporary care. Meals are included (your child must be present during our meal times)

• December - Christmas Break
  During the holidays each year, we offer a special program filled with holiday activities and seasonal celebrations. Care can be provided on a weekly or daily basis, depending on space availability.
• March Break
  Kiddy Place Childcare Centre offers care during March break each year. Children will join in our weekly theme activities. Care is also available weekly or daily, depending on space availability.
• July and August- Summer Break
  For the summer holidays, children take part in a variety of entertainment and activities.
  Our RECE ( Registered Early Childhood Educators) develop a program that allows the children an opportunity to explore and be creative, through different activities the children will be able to achieve these goals through play, performance, adventure through hands on experiences.
  Within our exciting weekly themes, the children will enjoy onsite visitors, field trips to our local parks (water park), performances and workshops.
  Our shows and workshops are interactive and geared towards all age groups. Your children will enjoy a fun-filled summer. Summer care is available weekly or monthly, depending on space availability.

We also offer the alternate Friday program for those children that attend school
(In order to enrol in our Alternate Friday program you must register in a 2 day per week program to receive the alternate Friday)

ALL PROGRAMS INCLUDE

• 3 Balanced and nutritious meals prepared daily on site
• 2 hour nap or rest period
• Morning and afternoon gross motor activities indoor/outdoor (Weather permitting)
• Computer use (Toddler and Preschool Level)
