Our Story

After many enjoyable years working in the childcare field, opening a childcare centre of my own was a dream and vision. That dream became a reality on March 26, 2001, when Kiddy Place Childcare Centre opened its doors to the Vaughan community.

Since then, Kiddy Place has grown into a welcoming, family-oriented childcare centre where children and families are treated with warmth, respect, and care. Our years of experience have helped us understand that every child is unique, with their own interests, personality, abilities, and pace of development.

We are proud of the relationships we have built with generations of families and remain committed to creating a childcare experience where children feel secure and parents feel confident in the care and education their children receive.

Our Childcare Philosophy

At Kiddy Place, we believe that children are competent, capable, curious, and rich in potential. We see children as active participants in their own learning and provide opportunities for them to explore their interests, express themselves, solve problems, and discover the world around them.

Our approach is rooted in play-based learning. Through meaningful play and age-appropriate experiences, children have opportunities to develop socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and creatively.

Our programs are guided by four important foundations:

• Belonging – Helping children develop meaningful relationships and feel connected to their family, educators, peers, and community.
• Well-Being – Supporting children's physical and emotional health, safety, confidence, and sense of security.
• Engagement – Encouraging children to explore, investigate, experiment, and develop a love of learning.
• Expression – Providing opportunities for children to communicate, create, imagine, and express their ideas and feelings.

We believe that when children feel safe, supported, and respected, they are better able to learn, explore, and flourish.

A Safe and Nurturing Learning Environment

Creating a positive and welcoming environment is at the heart of everything we do. We want Kiddy Place to feel like a second home for children—a place where they know they are cared for, valued, and respected.

Our educators provide responsive and supportive interactions while encouraging children to become increasingly independent and confident. From sensory exploration and creative activities to social interactions, movement, and early learning experiences, our programs give children many opportunities to learn naturally through play.

We also value strong communication with families. Parents and caregivers are an important part of a child's development, and we work collaboratively with families to support each child's individual needs and growth.

Caring and Dedicated Educators

Our team consists of Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) and Early Childhood Assistants (ECAs) who are committed to creating a safe, healthy, caring, and engaging environment for children.

Our educators understand that quality childcare is about more than supervision. It is about forming meaningful relationships, recognizing each child's individual strengths, encouraging curiosity, and providing experiences that support their development.

We strive to ensure every child receives the attention, encouragement, and support they need to feel confident and successful.

Programs for Every Stage of Early Childhood

Kiddy Place Childcare Centre offers programs designed to meet children where they are in their early development.

Infant Childcare | 3 Months to 18 Months

Our infant program provides babies with a caring and stimulating environment where they can explore, interact, and develop at their own pace. We work closely with families to support individual routines and developmental needs.

Toddler Childcare | 18 Months to 2½ Years

Our toddler program encourages children to explore, develop independence, build relationships, and strengthen their emerging social, language, physical, and cognitive skills through play-based experiences.

Preschool Childcare | 2½ to 5 Years

Our preschool program provides children with opportunities to develop confidence, independence, early literacy and numeracy skills, communication, social skills, and problem-solving abilities while preparing them for the transition to school.
